Mark Stacklin Acquires STIHL MasterWrench ServiceSM Certification

Shearer Equipment has announced that Mark Stacklin has completed the STIHL Gold Level service training and is now a certified STIHL MasterWrench ServiceSM technician. The STIHL MasterWrench ServiceSM program is a three-level service training process developed by STIHL Inc. for its more than 8,000 independent servicing dealers across the country. This program further improves the dealers' ability to respond to customers needs in the repair and maintenance of outdoor power equipment. The program focuses on product and systems information, the latest in technological developments, and service industry "best practices," as well as STIHL exclusive innovations. The program is not static – a technician must renew their certification every three years in order to stay current.

According to Randy Scully, national service manager for STIHL Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., the STIHL MasterWrench ServiceSM program involves the employees, the dealers and STIHL in a joint effort to deliver superior service to customers.

"Because the program is voluntary, participation by the dealer demonstrates their desire to continuously improve the level of service they offer their customers," stated Scully. "The servicing dealer has traditionally offered customers a level of knowledge and service unmatched by mass merchants and home centers. The factory-certified dimension of service training, second to none amongst the manufacturers of handheld outdoor power equipment, is elevating the quality of service provided to STIHL customers to an all-time high."

Scully added, "I think it's important to note that STIHL MasterWrench ServiceSM certification isn't just handed out, these technicians and STIHL dealers truly earn their factory-certified service technician credentials. They must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skill in order to pass the course."
